MEMBER TRAFFIC, RAILWAY BOARD HOLDS CONFERENCE OF ALL CHIEF OPERATIONS MANAGERS OF INDIAN RAILWAYS

Kolkata, 17thOctober, 2016:

           Shri Mohd. Jamshed, Member Traffic, Railway Board held a Conference of the Chief Operations Managers of the seventeen Zonal Railways of the country at South Eastern Railway Head Quarters,  Garden Reach today.  This conference was also attended by Shri A.K.Gupta Additional Member /Traffic, Shri S.C.Jethi Additional Member/Commercial and other Traffic Officials of Railway Board. Shri Jamshed while addressing the conference spoke about the various customer-friendly policy decisions to achieve the freight loading target fixed by the Railway Board for the financial year 2016-17.

          Shri Jamshed reviewed the freight loading performance of the different Zonal Railways during the first six months i.e. April-September  of the current financial year(2016-17) and discussed in detail about the strategies and action plans for the next half of the year to achieve the Board’s target for the current financial year.  

          Earlier, Shri A.K.Goel, General Manager, South Eastern Railway welcomed Shri Mohd. Jamshed, Member Traffic, Railway Board.

Chief Operations Managers of the different Zonal Railways spoke about the various plans and innovative steps taken by the Zonal Railways to increase and improve their respective freight loading to meet the Board’s target.

          Shri Suchitto Kumar Das, Chief Operations Manager, South Eastern Railway proposed vote of thanks.
