SER REAFFIRMS THE SWACHHTA PLEDGE o­n 2ND OCTOBER 2016 TO MARK THE BEGINNING OF 3RD YEAR OF SWACHHTA MISSION

Kolkata,  2nd October, 2016

            Shri A.K.Goel, General Manager, South Eastern Railway, administered Swachh Rail Swachh Bharat Cleanliness Pledge amongst all staff and officers of South Eastern Railway at SERailway’s Headquarters, Garden Reach today( 2ndOctober, 2016) to observe the beginning of 3rd year of Swachh Bharat Mission.

 

                        Shri Anirban Datta, Addl.General Manager, , Shri Jayanta  Saha, Chief Mechanical Engineer, S.E.Railway along with other Principal Head of Departments,  other staff and officers attended the Cleanliness Pledge and actively participated in the cleanliness drives. 

General Manager along with a large number of staff started the cleanliness drives from BNR Officers’ Club at Garden Reach and moved through the colonies including office premises with a view to create awareness and to keep the railway premises neat and clean.

                        Members of S E Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides, St.John Ambulance Brigade, South Eastern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation, South Eastern Railway Sports Association and other charitable organizations displaying placards and banners took part in this noble mission.

                        This cleanliness campaign was also  organized at all four Divisions of S E Railway i.e. Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur and Ranchi with active participation of large number of railwaymen and NGOs. Railway stations, platforms , trains, tracks, colonies, offices etc. were being brought under this massive cleanliness campaign spreading the message of cleaning at every nook and corner of the railway area and trains, every moment.
