SER OBSERVES WOMEN’S DAY IN QUAMI EKTA WEEK

Kolkata, Nov.24, 2015 :

          South Eastern Railway observed Women’s Day as a part of National Integration Week(Quami Ekta Week) and held a seminar o­n the “Importance of Women in Indian Society and their role in development of Nation Building”, this morning at SER’s Headquarters, Garden Reach(24.11.2015).

          Dr.Rupa Mitra, Medical Director, S E Railway Central Hospital and Dr. Mahua Verma, Chief Personnel Officer(Admn) inaugurated the programme.  Dr.Mitra emphasized about the Women’s health care and female foeticide. A large number of women employees of this railway were also present in the seminar.

          Dr.Mahua Verma, Chief Personnel Officer(Admn), South Eastern Railway stressed o­n the empowerment of the women.  She stated that women should not neglect to oft-ignored matters – their health and personal happiness which are equally important.

 

          Shri Rajiv Kumar Goel, Chief Personnel Officer, S.E.Railway stated that if women are educated, it will benefit the society at large.
